Buying a boiler thermostat for your loved one this year may not be the first thing you think of but The Nest Thermostat is not like any other central heating gadget on the market.  Nest is a programmer and thermostat in one and it can actually save you money in energy costs.

Plumbers in Bath have traditionally taken bookings by phone but in recent times we have seen a big shift in the way our Bath customers communicate with us.

It wasn't long ago that the only way to contact a plumber or other trader was by good old fashioned telephone.  Firstly you had to find the plumbers telephone number in a large yellow directory, and if you were lucky enough to get through you probably had to leave a message, if the plumber called you back within 48 hours then that was fast work!

Nowadays it's much more common for a customer to find Ace Energy by Googling 'Plumber in Bath' on their smart phones, and we regularly use email to take bookings and send invoices.  Recently we have seen a surge in new customers 'liking' our facebook page and tweeting their enquiries over to us.  Times have changed!  

When Do You Put Your Heating on?

Well it's November and we have just seen record temperatures for the first day of this month.  The weather is certainly changing now with more and more people are putting on their central heating.  

Here at Ace Energy we always advise customer not to wait until the weather gets cold but to test all is well by switching on the heating during late summer or early September.  Switch it on a leave it on for an hour or so, that way you can see if there are any issues before the winter kicks in.  

October is a very busy month for plumbers in Bath, we are always busy as everyone tests their heating at the same time, so beat the rush by testing early and book a boiler service during the non busy summer months.
